These days, definitely Vimes, I think. In their prime they would have been well-matched though. Rankin takes up more room, but that's because I used to get hardbacks for review, and most of my Pratchetts are paperbacks. Have every TP and Brookmyre, but there may be gaps in my Rankins...
In the same way so many brilliant scientific inventions are attributed to the Scottish, we should also celebrate that so many fictional murders are ours too.
We've taken great pleasure in falling asleep on a regular basis 15 minutes into episodes of Shetland, and attempting to watch it in 5 or 6 goes. You need a police incident wall just to keep tabs of the plot. I love it, but could the stories be any more convoluted?
