Think we spoke but vividly remember Cov Milk Cup ‘83 just 9,080. In St End, could have had a lie down but great atmosphere and 9,002 loons went mad when Sharpy scored winner in injury time. ‘Sparse’ was true for quite a few years #EFC

Goodison was such a depressing place from March 1981 to the end of that season. We lost most of our games, flirted with relegation, the sparse crowd was deathly quiet and we all knew Lee would be sacked.

Used to go home and away circa 91/92 and I remember frequently going to aways with less than 1000 blues.

Huge gaps at the clock end, Highbury and me and my mates just singing on our own like knob heads.

I'm not sure exactly when it changed, but those who do it now are really fortunate.
