Louisiana could become the first state in the country to categorize abortion pills as controlled dangerous substances, threatening incarceration and fines if an individual possesses the pills without a valid prescription.

Look, some legal tools shouldn't exist and the ability to criminalize consenting adults for using certain substances is one of them. I know it seems like an especially perverse usage of the law but it's a bad law in the first place, and awful trolls who gain power will use any law that exists.

I'm not sure you can place blame on those women for not seeing they are trapped in a social context where there value and beliefs are defined by men. Most of us want to believe we are making our own choices, even if they are terrible ones.

I know that women who are against abortion don't think they could ever need one, and are astonished when they do. They've been systematically lied to, told that there is never a medical reason for abortion, don't appreciate how common abuse and rape are, or finances suddenly becoming unbearable.

It’s truly sad - as you said. I’d have just liked for them to come to that realization in a not so hard way. The fact that those murders never really cared about them and it was always about control and power.
