I have suggested to antivaxers that they visit a cemetery and look at the dates on all the children’s graves and notice when the children’s graves start getting lesser and lesser thanks to vaccines! Proof!

The last 2.5+ years I have had 7 surgeries, 4 hospitalizations & countless ED visits I was astounded at how many people I saw or roomed with that suffered from clots. I had one roommate who every time he shot one would talk to Jesus, that’s when I would push the call button. We did not see reality.

during my pneumothorax CCU stay, i did physical therapy walking thru the unit. lots of very ill Pts + many on vents (doors were open).

this was a bit past COVID wave but there were a couple w/ closed doors w/ red placards that i was told were airborne infections (prob COVID)

the CCU was a lonely place for those Pts. i had family w/ me constantly but many of the rooms i cld see into were empty except for the Pt + nurses.

my nursing care was amazing. i've said this before but i'll never forget the care i rec'vd, especially that moment when i was scared of the outcome

thnx, i mentioned this before in case you don't recall. it was so weird how it happened: violent vomiting from either food poisoning or an allergy.

took six days to fully resolve. day three was scary.

having reassuring nurses at my side when i was gasping for breath really helped calm me down.

I just had an argument on FB with an anti vaxxer. She wanted "proof" about the chicken pox epidemic in my child's school where 25% of the parents were anti vaxx. Yet she rejects the science behind vaccines. 😬

Anyway, it made for a songwriting prompt.
