Big part is just developments probably encouraging a lot of dumb debated that already have been going for years adding fuel to the fire, beyond that it's stuff like reisens backstory reduced to a gag and stuff along those lines

People were saying a lot was riding on mizuchis back story too so I guess an ending is all it's got left, though people seem to think even the good mangas have a bad track record for endings so we'll see

I already brought this up but fundamentally the issue with this manga is that it keeps hyping up to something that may or may not come for extended periods of time without offering much substance as it goes. It will all depend on the finale, and even if it's good it doesn't excuse the waiting.

Additionally even if it is a very good ending, there's gonna be people who won't like it and will be disappointed, it's already inevitable regardless of quality. It's gonna be controversial no matter what.

Might be the kind of thing that gets seen more favorably for future readers that didn't have to do as much waiting but those here first will have to just put up with the sour taste.

No I mean the manga has massive pacing issues. Even future readers will be waiting because the chapters just don't say very much and just point toward a thing that is going to happen for 40 chapters. Though they probably won't hate it as much if they read it fast, FDA chapters are pretty short.

I mean that's probably the weakest of the bunch but even then, it was pretty good. I think people just expected a fight which wasn't shown as part of a gag. FS and the Fairy mangas were better tho

Not so much about the lack of fight as I never really expected one from a manga that was overall rather silly, I'd say it's cause FS and Sangetsusei felt like more complete arcs by the end of it. At least for me.
