Orwell's views are clearly stated in the second half of "The Road To Wigan Pier" should anyone be interested in getting the information from the horses mouth as it were.
Yeah. He got shot in the throat by a sniper, and grew to hate communism after the syndicalists and Stalinists started killing each other just as much as they were fighting the Nationalists.
And that, of course, led to the disappearance of 3,000 innocent Spanish civilians. Our character - our MORALITY - matter. Stay human, no matter the cost. Cause, if we’re YT, we won’t really feel it…
Happened during Philippine - American War (aka Philippine Insurrection), 1899-1902. Many of the 2,100 Buffalo Soldiers serving- 9th & 10th Cavalry Regiments, and the 24th & 25th Infantry Regiments in Philippines had issues killing other men of color. Find humanity in others & it's harder to hate.
