Or what they THINK are the angles.
They read polls where swing voters say they favor "bipartisanship" and so that is the default pose, especially when they have no real power left.

Dem primary is coming up, that's the perfect time to make a splash and get new leadership. Otherwise, fight fascism. Pretty simple.
