Re-reading Witches Abroad last week: his political beliefs are so interesting! There's this deep small-c conservative suspicion of grand designs and top-down reform but with none of modern conservatism's wistfulness for the past. Change happens and is necessary but has to be driven by individuals.

The way he describes witches, and the work they do for the community, really speaks to me. And the way the exercise power through "headology" is just fantastic. I love it more than when they use actual magic. Granny is a delight. The witches are my most re-read of his books.
