I think we've spent too long capitulating to their framing. Speaking about human rights in terms of what it contributes to the economy. Fuck that shit. We look after people cos they're people. That's it.

Thank you. This week, Elon said that empathy is our weakness. When we know it is the one and real human virtue that all other virtues, such as justice, love etc step from.
I did my degree in environmental philosophy & this was a huge discusn. Acceeding to economic framing surrenders moral ones. Counter argument was "expand def'n of economy to include externalities!" but still: What happens when it's found to be economical to destroy people and the world they live in?
Wow, it really does make "The Economy" out to be a god that we created that has now grown such that it can demand a blood sacrifice and we feed it without question.
I was thinking this the other day too. When trying to reach across boundaries we accidently normalized self centered dollar orientated thinking being the only way.

People do not need to have economic value in order to "deserve" humanity.
Moreover, humanity isnt something you get more of if you have more economic output.
