I accidentally decapitated my mother's IdP over 30 years ago and now it's the most highly revered weather-control Infant de Prague in the extended family.
Could be worse, I know someone whose siblings used the head as makeshift chalk for hopscotch after it came off. Thought the parents wouldn't notice but wore it down to a nub
Not to generlise but I think bouncers are beautiful 😍 Please check out this amazing TV series & in my opinion the first episode is the best. It's beautiful.
On the contrary, this is the first step in making it work properly. Step 2 is to make a surgical collar of Sellotape to hold the head in place. Now you're good to go!
This is like a Rite of Passage for every Child of Prague statue!
Ours ended up headless, after I tried using it as a weight for the end of a hammock (I was only 6 and knew nothing about statics!!).
Just don't stick it back on backwards or upside-down!😉
Haha! My partner used to be an altar boy in his teens and was responsible for carrying the processional cross. One day it fell over mid-mass and plain knocked him out in front of everyone. He decided it was a sign and quit that day.
