I think there is a danger that the more an adept learns, the less meaningful and more restrictive those insights can become. Rules of the game must be recognised of course, no point falling back on faulty logic. But cutting away the trappings to leave only the core magick has to be a good thing.

I've used found screws and bolts as pendulum weights and a gifted broken car aerial as a divining rod/wand.
