Unsurprisingly, as A² grows, there are more A² residents who support growth.
Even with high-dollar fundraising for their campaigns, our anti-change residents can't win elections anymore so they keep trying to exert reactionary anti-democratic policy shaping force in any ways they can come up with.

Burns Park being the epicenter makes sense to me. It’s very close to the highest demand areas students & U affiliates want to live, so the “threat” of redevelopment feels more real than farther flung neighborhoods.

Burns Park has been targeted with the most fear-mongering messaging. They even handed out flyers at the elementary school drop off!

I’d venture many people with yard signs have little clue what they mean, but their neighbor told them some scary (wrong) thing and they didn’t want to be rude.

I think the North BP and Lower BP neighborhood associations sort of kicked things off. They have teamed up with the usual anti-change suspects from other neighborhoods. They recently got a new batch of signs, so I assume we'll start seeing more across the city.

I think that it does say something about the BP neighborhood, but as I have talked to neighbors in LBP, there are a lot of quieter people who agree we need more housing and are okay with changes. We are working on ways to demonstrate the size of that group.

The more I look around, the more it seems like Packard is a stark dividing line on the CLUP. Tons of PtP signs in upper Burns Park, but Neighbors for More Neighbors signs seem more prevalent in LoBuPa.
