I recently gave the Octatrack another shake and I just couldn't gel with the interface. on paper, it's the perfect looper. I'll probably try again eventually. love the DLD, one of my favorite loopers as well
If you haven’t, check out videos for the ‘pattern transition trick’. This is the setup I use for the ot as looper. I have all 7 cha. Wow set up at different lengths and save the loops I want as files for later.
in 4.x the looper has some dedicated midi cc for capturing/undo/clearing/etc. i use a little boss foot pedal with it, i do have some other midi complaints (sample volume)
did you ever land on a looper for yourself? i feel like im always looking, i’ll just need to make one myself
thanks for the info regarding the MIDI CCs in the looper on the 404mkII, I missed that!
currently my loopers are all in eurorack format (ER-301, Stardust, Disting), though I'm searching for something in desktop format. I've tried many through the years, but never really settled on anything
loved the Blooper when I had one. crossing fingers for a stereo version someday. love the Ditto stuff too. used a Ditto for a long time as my main looper when I mainly played guitar. that and an Akai Headrush

Strymon Magneto in loop mode is great as well.
Please tell me it's for metal. Also how magnets work. Fuck!
