When the market is open and you are trying to influence specific stock or specific company so that you can either dump it or buy it that is market manipulation. The reason they wait until aftermarket close is cuz you have 12 hours to think as a company on what to do and take corrective action.

Understand, I took dairy herd management in the early 90's, but as an American, used to the constant push to produce more milk per cow, to have lower demands in that Canadian system would be fun.
I would enjoy being able to tinker with feeds and what-not to make just enough before exceeding quotas.
