The way woke means whatever the user wants at any random moment is so fucking stupid.

There is a way to say you COULD word this to not sound like a dickhead (didn't try) but "my biggest fear was being woke" when you are SPIDERMAN (and have a black norman osbourne) is as pathetic as it is laughable.

The most charitable explanation I can give is that he is using the word woke as a synonym for preachy. In episode one alone, the show is casually diverse, features an openly queer character, and shows cops giving a black kid a hard time for no reason. If that's not woke, I don't know what is.

Man I care less about if its woke than if its good.

Was Ms. Marvel woke for its time? Probably but it was great.

Was the Mosaic comic woke? I suppose so. But it was so bad.

Also I would argue that most Captain America comics were "woke" considering the time periods.
