how i kept the important stuff on me while nomading: made USB earrings. one booted into Tails, the other was encrypted and held the master signing key.

What is Tails? Where do I learn more about it?

And how does one encrypt a USB drive? Is it an encrypted file on a filesystem on a USB drive, or "Mass Storage Class, but the returned raw data is encrypted"?
