"what if we delivered mail only 3 times a week? that would be fine" mother fucker if there's a holiday on a Monday the Tuesday after takes you like 11 hours to deliver everything if you're GOOD at the job let alone if you're new. it's a fuckload of work to do multiple days of mail all together

"Amazon could handle it" Amazon pays us pennies to deliver a good chunk of their rural packages because it's significantly easier and cheaper to contract us logistically. Amazon is not putting a fleet of trucks and employees in Mobile Alabama. it's not worth the price ticket, it's literally cheaper

the true end game of all of this discussion is to set up the post office to fail so that way the ghouls at Amazon can buy the post office and it's services and then make everything more expensive, killing tons of small businesses that they absolutely do not give a fuck about
