I judge presenters that put up obviously genai images.

For other images that aren’t about the text itself, it’s no more or less nonsense than random non-AI images some people use for slide decoration that are “merely illustrative” :-)
GenAI images are a distraction to the audience, like a mispronunciation, grammar/spelling error, typo, or basic factual error.
The audience stops focusing on what you're trying to communicate.
Hopefully it works, and the talking should matter more than the slides, but let’s see!
