Thanks for sharing! When I log in, those fields say that they are for the future and no AI training is currently being done for our account. I'm saving the screenshot for later though.
Maybe they're rolling it out in some regions ahead of others.

It does say it won’t train on your designs, only what you search for etc but I never really trust these companies next to change it later.

Well, exactly. It says they will protect your content & won’t use it without your consent, but presumably if you have it ticked on - that’s you giving your consent? There are other settings not shown in my screenshot about sharing design usage with collaborators as well, so the are plenty of risks.

Authors, either published or querying, have to do a lot of their own marketing materials for social media. In fact I don’t think this is just limited to authors. You can make all sorts of things that involve original material in Canva, including basic editing of reels and videos.
