Thanks for the primary school English lesson , I’m sure you didn’t mean to generalise as you no doubt know its consequences, maybe you should have a chat with your Anam Cara .?
Is the US bonded to its head of state by a deep and long lasting hatred of his/her family stemming from the origin of the country being a catastrophic defeat followed by a complete up-ending of language, law and custom?
I agree you don't have the church going in common. From my European perspective though, there is an underlying sense of entitlement. The American version is blusterous, the English more subdued, but it's there.
I disagree. England is a very strange country in many ways, but the strangest is that the aristocracy and the rest have two completely separate cultures and both sides avoid contact with the other. The founding story about England that is taught to use all in primary school is that the English were
incapable of governing or organising themselves, so the Catholic Church sent the Normans to rule us. It has warped the country for certain. Both upper and lower class ppl hate each other with a passion and both hate the monarchy more. Nevertheless, that hatred has made the country very stable until
recently. I'm not the only person who thinks that the aristocracy felt threatened by lower class people being able to freely travel and experience other country's systems for themselves.
Nick Clegg; the man who made his £millions helping to shape FaceBook into the virulently racist and women-hating purveyor of lies that it is today? #noshame
England's leading political dad dancer Ed Davey has been peddling the same nonsense. These folk really imagine that having trashed its reputation as a reliable European partner the UK can breeze back into the EU on exceptional terms and assume a leadership role. 🙃
The English Clown Show. “When we apply to join again, Johnny Furriner will be so grateful they will simply forego all agency and accede to our desires because, ‘The English, The English, The English are best. We wouldn’t give t’uppence for all of the rest’”….. aaaaaarrrrrgggghhhhh
“Denmark, Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Italy, and Western Germany should form one federated state. To help this America could afford to spend a lot, because we’d get something successful, strong, sturdy."
These words from Gen.Dwight D. Eisenhower, in 1951.

One of the shadiest of these is the liberals. An outspoken group on many subjects.
Ten degrees to the left of centre in good times, Ten degrees to the right of center if it affects them personally” (Phil Ochs)

Now, just another rag.
I did everything I could to stop Brexit.
Don't pity ppl who are prepared to go down fighting. They're braver than you.
You must have noticed the lack of pressure to go to church on Sundays, at least.
The English need to understand that the EU must become the United States of Europe asap.

Oh for an edit button!
They have zero say. Their opinion is not needed.
EEA/SM without FoM…not going to happen. The UK offers very little of any value. Irrelevance will be the result …
