Europeans need to stop freaking out over every Trump brainfart about foreign policy and start freaking out about how he is enabling the domestic torching of the American state

If Elon Musk was in France, we would have witnessed a general strike ending with his head on a spike.

🇵🇱🤝🇺🇦 "Poland bought Starlinks, which it gave to Ukraine. We pay and will continue to pay a subscription fee for satellite internet for Ukraine. I cannot imagine that someone could decide to terminate a business contract for a commercial service, to which Poland is a party."

With this kind of attitude, the US government will have difficulties to hire and retain staff. Likely will lose all the good employees. And then will have to hire. But it will hire overpriced bad quality.

Is this what Justin Webb thinks or what Murdoch told him to write?

To be fair - we should probably put NATO into administration and drive Europe to fill the defence space... ...a *complete* reversal of the previous dynamic, I am fully aware, but actually a huge opportunity for Europe (manufacturing, R&D, hard power, cybersecurity, procurement cohesion, etc, etc).

Ah, the controversial Roman heart signal (according to the MSM)

Something is shifting. They are still breaking things and stealing things. And they will keep trying to break and to steal. But the propaganda magic around the oligarchical coup is fading. (1/2)

Let’s go!!! 🇺🇦 Pro-Ukraine protest outside the Russian embassy. ✊

DOGE engineer Edward Coristine, 19, is the grandson of a notorious KGB spy.

OTD in 2022, Russian ambassador to US said "Russia recognises Donbas as a part of Ukraine, does not have any claims on Ukrainian lands, does not have plans of any attack". So you can believe it we promise to stop.

OTD in 2014 we sent masked soldiers to occupy Crimea 2014 “they’re not Russian soldiers but local militias. Russia has nothing to do with them” 2015 “They were not Russian soldiers but we “stood behind them” Later 2015 “They were Russian soldiers" But we are not lying this time

OTD in 2000 Ukraine sent its final strategic bomber to Russia. Having given up strategic arms and so having no long-range ability to threaten Russia, Ukraine was subsequently rewarded with invasion and supplied with limitless grave concern.

Whitehouse deputy chief of staff tweeting Donald's flawless democratic credentials compared to Zelensky's.

General Sir Nick Carter, "Donald Trump has been treating his allies like enemies" "Many of us are feeling deeply uncomfortable about some of the rhetoric" "There's only one thing worse than fighting alongside allies, it's fighting without allies.. Trump needs to remember that"

Starlink should be banned from European markets on national security grounds. Anything requiring Starlink should be shut out of the European market, and sanctions should be considered against all relevant actors. kyivindependent.com/us-threatens...

Jeez. US could cut Ukraine's access to Starlink internet services over minerals, say sources. Trump’s government are behaving like mobsters www.reuters.com/business/us-...

Lady in stripes, "UK should do more to unite Europe" "Recent polls show only 30% of Brits support Brexit, maybe it's time to reverse the process and make Europe stronger" Fiona Bruce, "Wow, you want to re run Brexit"

This kind of blackmail will force the EU to reduce the connectivity and interdependencies with US services.

This is the kind of naive glorification of pre globalisation 'small towns' that I find so unrealistic. Technology evolved, and it wasn't as if there wasn't crime without immigrants. Nostalgia won't restore the idealised times that never were, we need to understand the world of today.

"In Norway, Tesla saw a 38% sales slump, in France sales dropped by 63%, and in Spain by 75%. Tesla sales dropped 13% across the whole European Union last year and are expected to fall further... Tesla registered only 1,277 new cars in Germany in January, a year-on-year drop of 59.5%."

Hilarious the Brexiters shouting that the scheme must be like the UK-Australia visa to keep numbers down. 750k limit then! I expect this scheme will look far ore like European proposals by the end. www.thetimes.com/uk/politics/...

This ought to be top of the UK government's thinking re Palantir's role in the NHS. The dependency risk is not theoretical under Trump 2.0

The EU is preparing a package of about €20 billion ($20.9 billion) in additional military support for Ukraine, according to a person familiar with the matter, as the bloc races to secure assistance for Kyiv in the face of President Donald Trump’s push to reach a quick peace settlement with Russia.

🚨🚨 The Rebellion Strikes Back: European leaders are working on a military aid package for Ukraine — worth at least €20 billion — to bolster Kyiv, as the United States increasingly aligns with Moscow. 🧵 www.politico.eu/article/eu-w...

So let's get this straight: The U.S. and Elon are now extorting Ukraine and threatening to turn off their Starlink Internet access unless they give their critical rare earth minerals to the United States? Staggering levels of corruption.

Lie after lie has been told this week about how the Ukraine war started, from the Kremlin and the White House. Here's our News Agents video essay which explains the truth, and spells out why Trump clings so close to Putin and lives in his warped reality. www.youtube.com/watch?v=cufM...

Er. Might have jumped the gun here lads. Even if that IS the UK offer (not confirmed and for now denied by No 10), it’s *miles* from Brussels desire for “no caps” on numbers and offering local £9,535 uni fees for EU students.
