Comments
1 from a train: male hen harrier
2 1st skylark of the year
3 rough-legged buzzard flying over
4 calling short-toed and eurasian treecreepers
5 about 50 cranes calling and flying over
Were the Cranes returning for the breeding season?
And I forgot the calling Lesser Spotted woodpecker 🫠
1) Lapwing 100+
2) Teal males in glorious sunshine
3) Song thrush serenading
4) Long tailed tit troupe on feeders
5) Stock dove visitor at work
1. A flock of mourning doves in my tree
2. Male & female cardinals chasing each other in my backyard
3. Hawk flying overhead as I drove home from work
4. A large flock of dark-eyed juncos on my front lawn
5. Carolina wren on my deck singing his heart out
Are they taking feathers from a dead bird or from another bird’s nest?
My all season Cardinals, Tufted Titmouse, Wrens, and Crows
I’ve only seen Tufted Titmouse and Cardinal a couple of times in my life - would love to see them again.
I’m interested to hear that the Stock Dove drove off the Woodpigeons. I do not have much experience seeing these species together at close quarters, so would have thought that the Woodies would have been dominant.
