Even more beautiful than yesterday morning (and the cold even harsher to my hands in the texting gloves) - yesterday afternoon after work was a fiery farewell after a brilliantly cold, sunny day. I could see golden tones as I headed south, but the intensity of the colour caught me by surprise.

The cold was INTENSE, I’ll admit.
I’ve had so many different sounds, on the lake. Solid ice creaks, whines, and cracks with a laser-gun “pew” sound. Sharp ice edges scratch, pieces tinkle like cutlery. Slushy ice sursurrates.
