you know what is the least efficient thing I can think of - selling 400 perfectly good buildings, moving everywhere someplace else and hiring new people. This is mind-numbingly dumb, inefficient. We should report this to DOGE

This will be a massive cost, it certainly fails at creating efficiency or cutting costs, but it makes perfect sense if you assume the president is actually working for a hostile foreign government.
Meanwhile, Tesla’s sales are tanking, it may lose pollution credits, people are ditching Starlink, and Twitter is in the toilet. Maybe having an illegal immigrant downsize the government is not the brightest idea.
I mean, the nice thing is that if we get a Dem president with a spine after this, they can do something Red Lobster never could, which is go "eminent domain, sorry" and yoink it all back

It's not meant to be effective. He's going to sell the buildings to landlords who will rent the buildings back to the government for yet another billionaire profit from hard working Americans.
