Actually incredible animation for an explosion over water, really catches the way it ripples when disturbed, right before the big splash. Would be hard to replicate in a game with higher fidelity graphics, this is why stylization is EVERYTHING.
These are so cool! Do you think it's practical to do sketches like these, and then time them out in your storyboard? I'm always looking for ways to streamline my process.
