The bill only relates to terminally ill people, not disabled people. Social care funding is a singular and separate issue. Attempting to blur the lines in this manner is unhelpful and incorrect.

If you can share the research I’d be happy to review it and consider my position. I’m certainly not dismissing those concerns where they exist elsewhere. I’d prefer to have the choice to die with dignity with a terminal illness rather than be made to suffer for others fears or religion.

4% of deaths in canada in 2022 were from MAiD, i very much doubt 4% of the entire population were terminally ill with less than 6 months to live. even if it starts off that way, it’s been proven by it happening in other places that it quickly gets expanded

This is a policy which should be examined holistically.

I don’t mind at all! Given the similarities between the NHS and Canadian medical systems - I think our Uk counterparts need to pay attention. Our assisted dying policy started as terminal only - now we have people with treatable conditions ending their life after being refused care.
