nanoplastics
😵💫
the good news is they can fit in the open antioxidant space and be carried out of the body
bad news
there are literally billions of them
i heard its especially bad if you microwave plastic
eeesh
i may have done that in life
a time or two
😵🤒
https://phys.org/news/2025-03-microplastics-fueling-antibiotic-resistance.html
and the short answer on the graphs is they exposed different bacteria to MPs, then antibiotics after some period, and after more than 24 hours the resistance to antibiotics increased. bottom line was control, no MPs
MP=microplastic, so x axis is concentration of microplastics (mp/*L)
MIC=minimum inhibitory concentration, layperson guess after reading the term 5 times, looks like this is the measure of antibiotic resistance.
PS=polystyrene, common plastic
We won't be around for much longer at this pace.
Just sayin'
(Aaargh)

- use laundry / dish powder, not pods
- skip the dryer (and dryer sheets) + hang your clothes (also skips need for ironing)
- store food in glass or metal containers
- take those ⬆️ to the store and buy from the bulk section
Good start.
