People who hate our country should never be allowed to be its LEADER! People who hate our country should just MOVE, get out , we dont want you here anyways. Just go the fuck away. go improve another country that needs it cuz we do NOT. we were FINE.
Same. CFO of the hospital system was on my list, supervisor said to cut the patient before and after short for the CFO. I went to the CFO and told them they could wait for the others to finish.
Isn't there something that covers this already? Maybe the Hippocratic oath? It's time the gop gets out of our bedrooms, bathrooms, and privacy in general!
Refusing care to patients based on their beliefs and political leanings violates every precept of medical ethics. And I should know: I wrote a book on it.
there are thousands-of-years-old religions all over South America, Mexico and elsewhere that have extremely powerful, very real experiences backed by evidence so convincing it would make most white people shit themselves
the original "holy communion" wasn't a cracker 😬📣🍄🟫🍄🟫🍄🟫
just because you're not evolved or educated enough to understand the biochemistry of your endogenous psychedelics and the implications of millennia of history worshiping them
doesn't mean you have to stoop to just repeating a thing like a monkey 😁
They refuse to tie my 24 yr old sister's tubes because they say she's too young and may regret that decision later in life. She already has 3 kids too. What happened to my body my choice?
They’ve been quietly telling us in doctors offices that it never really was our choice. I was 39 when I had my youngest. I moved states and had my tubes removed at 41 because Fuck All That.
So if you and your "baby" die from a pregnancy, leaving your husband without his wife and your children without a mother it's all good because it's "part of God's plan?" That's horrific. His God's having given him the knowledge and tech to perform tubal ligations is just as much a part of that plan.
It was her poor understanding of her God that tied her hands. I don't remember hearing that Jesus had requirements before healing the sick and feeding the poor.
Does that imply doctors or medical staff refusing to examine a person because of their gender ?
Or sexual orientation ?
Or without a man's approval ?
You aim at the conservatives, but there is a population you'll get to, indirectly, and I'm not sure you're prepared for it.
Absolutely zero contrition on his part. He does not care, and you have to give considerable thought to those who support such a person. As a woman of faith, I could not vote for such a person.
that's why they must be driven to ruin. they claim to be godly and then deny people basic human rights and make themselves feel good by praying for people, and they think they're good.
cancer must always be eliminated before it spreads. unfortunately right wing belief is terminal.
I was a nurse and we didn't get last names at report, and ended up with my ex-wife as a patient and had to change patients after rounds with the doctor! It was very awkward since she even asked the doctor to make me continue as her nurse and I told him in front of her that she was my ex!
In 1992, I was a student assigned an AIDS patient. He was cachetic &confused.I remember Christian saying gay men deserves this dz. He was sweet &my heart broke 4him. But sum Christians judge, condemn humans &find them unworthy. Declaring who can or cannot be treated as an equal. They are hypocrites
What are Christians in America? Sadistic menaces to the health services because of a red madhatter? TALIBAN? AMA what is your stance in this freak show? CRICKETS?
Like service workers who get attitudes cuz u ask them what aisle somethings on or can they pass u some extra fuckin napkins but the worst is a teacher who hates 2 teach so they just sit at their desk while the class runs amok I had a teacher like that who also hung out at neighborhood bookie joint😡
Nor should they be involved in any way with the Church. Denial of care is most certainly not Biblical, Christ-like or any other spiritual practice. It is just spiteful. Period.
As a female emergency physician practicing in a foreign country, I sometimes get to treat patients with neonazi tattoos.
Despite the internal awkwardness, I never failed to treat them with respect and dignity. Part of me always hopes that somehow this will fragilize their irrational hatred.
Project 2025 wants this to be allowed by business as well. If an employer believes women should be home raising kids, they can refuse to hire a mother.
Prejudice, bigotry, misogyny, racism, hedgimony. Have no place in a Civil Society. We are all created equal. And when we see each other that way, we get better results.
To be real though, people who refuse care to others due to [insert raggedy-azz excuse here] don’t belong in the pool of voters who elect what kind of healthcare system we have.
Or at least be upfront at how they limit their practice, like religious counselors who are clear they will use religious therapy. That way people can avoid the ones they know will be....not helpful.
Especially those crazy extremist Christian families who wont allow surgery for their kids, thinking Jesus/God will cure them. There is a very deep space in hell waiting for them.
During my medical studies it was made abundantly clear how important it was that we treated everyone with care, respect and upheld the 4 principals of medical ethics
Autonomy
Beneficence
Non-Maleficence
Justice
Seeing so called medical professionals not uphold a single one of these is disgusting.
👏👏👏👏 It would be like teachers saying, “I won’t teach I child with different beliefs than me.” It’s not relevant. They have a right to education, they get it, regardless if their kid was an Andrew Tate fan
Totally agree with you. Before I retired (because I needed to be home with an autistic child) I was nursing for many years. I also did community nursing, looking after people down on their luck in the Gatwick, St Kilda. Before the Block redo. 🙄 I’ve always treated people equally with compassion.
Remember, if you go in for female care, the first person that's gonna rat you out is gonna be a HC worker. Don't tell them anything, tell the doctor but tell them it has to be confidential & don't even let the nurses know. They will try to get you arrested if they can. 200+ have been arrested.
Hippocratic Oath should come before anything else. Those who do not treat patients based upon their own views are in the field for all the wrong reasons.
OR IN THE CAREGIVING FIELDS, NURSING HOMES, COMMUNITY INTEGRATED LIVING ARRANGEMENTS (CILA’s) or other LIVING ARRANGEMENTS FOR PEOPLE THAT HAVE INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES
We have the ability to remove ourselves as healthcare professionals from providing care only if we ensure that the patient receives care from a colleague. The duty to treat remains constant. Failure to do so is abandonment and threatens your license.
Those people don't belong to any services, like what if I'm a yellow hat wearer working at McDonald's and I get an order from a green scarf wearer? Do I just not give them their order? Does that mean that I'm unable to do my job? But if I'm unable to do my job my boss has every right to fire me
Okay, we'll put you down sense you'd probably refuse to preform certain religious procedures by Natives, Arabs & even white ppl, birth my daughter's black baby from having interracial sex when she wasn't suppose to, or refuse to let polymates see mates in the hospital. That's white savior bs.
This is true, but I will say listening to my uncle talk about treating a man who drove drunk and killed a young girl, who had zero shame, made my blood boil. Sometimes you have to treat real monsters
Instead of wasting schooling, we should require all healthcare students to sign a contract at the admission to either help all patients to the proven standard of care disregarding of faith or opinion OR be held liable for reimbursing the school the full cost of training a new student who will.
When I took the oath as a firefighter, medic & confined space rescue tech I pledged on my life & honour I wouldn’t look at anyone thru the eyes of my own set of beliefs. That began in 1990. I have since thrown my career away bc I will not serve a community who wants me dead or hates me for being Tg.
((hugs)) I am so sorry. I’m a Health scientist, and after experiencing a tiny tiny dose of bigotry & stupid aggression during Lockdown- I can only imagine what you had to endure. Thank you for the work you gave, and for having the courage to follow your truth. The world is a better place for both.
Add to the list medical professionals who give their own opinions. Psst, nurse who told me the Covid vaccine had aborted baby parts...you're full of s#@t!
Absolutely. I was getting a shot for pneumonia when she said it and when she was done, I looked her in the face, told her she was wrong and walked out.
You ought not be in the business of delivering babies and nursing them to good health and long life if you’re not also willing to kill them if I say so.
I was pre med in college and this was covered under medical ethics. It’s not an excuse to not provide care, as a physician your personal beliefs are supposed to be checked at the door. Patient care is why you’re there.
Because morality and ethics get scrambled together. Morality is subjective, ethics objective. There shouldn’t be consciousnesses objectors practicing medicine. Report them to the medical board and if it’s a trend for that physician, appropriate actions will be taken.
I worked for a Catholic hospital system. We didn’t do sterilization procedures. The woman could deliver her baby but not get her tubes cut. She could have that done elsewhere.
Wrong, when a lot of areas have only religious hospitals. The idea they should drive hours away for a second operation when doing these healthcare procedures at the time of childbirth is best. I've seen these kinds of places refuse necessary hysterectomies and D&Cs take their licenses.

They must be met with fierce resistance and public outcry.
Republican dipshits have always fd’up the works. We’re up to our ears in alligators with this bunch though.
Did not get fired, nifty thing

Well, not "all", but you know.
cancer must always be eliminated before it spreads. unfortunately right wing belief is terminal.
If you have pseudo-religious beliefs (no legit religion actually supports this) that compromise your..
willingness to treat people OR make "gay wedding cakes", you are not qualified to be in a medical profession OR the private sector
Let them find other Christians who can heal their cancer or broken leg by placing a hand. Leave the beds and medication to others.
See how they like it when someone else decides about their health based on scripture.
They refuse services all of the time.
Despite the internal awkwardness, I never failed to treat them with respect and dignity. Part of me always hopes that somehow this will fragilize their irrational hatred.
They are violating their oath to medicine.

I love Lisa S. 😍
but as patients.
If someone is devoid of empathy, the medical field is one of the last places where they belong.
🤷♀️
They say I’m still overreacting.
I told my mom I am making a contingency plan to flee.
She said I’m not moving. I had to explain that she doesn’t have to worry about being killed, but I do.
Crickets.
