I’m confused why it’s useful to stop ridiculing mediocre white men… surely they are very reasonable and would not dream of retaliating to a post that is a joke. That seems like an emotional act, and I know for a fact that there are no safe spaces and that we shouldn’t be upset by jokes.

Get as much education as you can. I became a medical doctor and lawyer. Nothing like getting higher education to make mediocre white guys resentful. And the good thing is, when they come into my playground, they have to play by my rules or they get kicked the fuck out.
I don’t step aside on the sidewalk, have perfected manspreading when being edged out of a seat, and have put grown white men in their place since I was 15 and kicked out of Sunday School for having radical ideas like suggesting Buffy was the best show on tv. This is my life’s work and I am proud.
I was the first female letter carrier in our rural p.o. The men (all older white) I worked with said I was going to sleep my way to mgmt or quit. They actually had a pool with the dates that I would quit. Even their wives disliked me. I retired as a letter carrier. 30 yrs of service in 2016.
You are amazing! One of my family members was the first woman postal carrier in her town too. It's so much to put up with and I am so sorry they were just horrible. But it just shows you intimidated them!!
The men (and most of their wives) treated me horribly. They did everything they could to force me to quit. But I persevered and became their shop steward!!! #unionstrong
