My daughters family has a pride flag flying, her husband's twin brother is gay. The next door MAGA neighbor immediately put up his own flags, and looks totally ridiculous in the neighborhood of young adults.
In southern Indiana, next to a friend's house is a lovely sign that says "Trump 2024, the revenge tour" big ass banner. The house is a 125k house, as low as it gets in a semi decent area, someone who should be supporting the other side but doesn't know better. They will learn soon about their choice
Fun story, there is a full MAGA psycho in our neighborhood. The house next to them has been up for rent for 3 months with no one even applying to rent it. No one wants to live next to the psycho

My next door neighbor (who is a dickhead cop) when I was in middle school flew a confederate and white power flag and the mayor made him take it down. This guy’s daughter would always tell me that “n***ers like you don’t belong in this world according to daddy”. A young girl with that much hate 😤
I live in a rural area in Virginia. Everyone with a flag, sign or sticker gets the finger. Don't care if they see it or not but it makes me feel better. The bad thing is my arthritis doesn't like the frequency of use 🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕 🤬📢🇺🇲
I don’t know what it is but yeah, living next to people that publicly display their support for human rights just seems better than living next to people that publicly display their support for genocidal movements.
At least I would see the rainbow and be like “I could probably nerd out so hard on them and they’d understand and maybe even have similar hobbies” you see the the other three flags and instantly just feel like… I don’t own a too-small helmet or enjoy licking windows/batteries. NO COMMON GROUND!
My across-the-street neighbors had a TFG sign in their yard for quite a while. I haven't spoken to them since. I think they finally got the message that most of us on the block were of the blue persuasion and the sign finally disappeared.
I still have my Harris Walz sign up. My neighbor asked me when it is coming down. I said when there is a different Democratic candidate for President of the US.
I was born right when WWII came to an end. Grew up well acquainted with the horrors of that war and the reasons that we “had” to persevere. The suffering and the trauma they experienced endures for generations. How can we betray our ancestors and our country with so little thought? 💔
I never was safe where I love and he didn't win. Winners don't thank the guy that figured out the counting machines for a near landslide in PA. He cheated, and people disregarded the black lady once they saw the results.

I've seen beautiful homes where a flagpole fits and adds to it's beauty.

RCAF then the CAF.
We had flags everywhere on base and protocol was enforced and respected.
My point is you should be more proud of your country and people
