The US spends tens of billions of dollars annually on what is one of the biggest boondoggles, and blights on our communities, in this Nation's history.

- Americans have spent ~$3 trillion on roads
- $15.3 T on buying vehicles
- Also add in insurance, fuel, and maintenance
- Add in private car infrastructure, driveways, parking lots, ever increasing lot sizes
All of that money towards depreciating assets. We could have created real value to the world by investing in science, education, resilient infrastructure, and medicine.
Not saying all that $ wouldn’t have went to cars, but it would be a completely different world if it was just half that amount.
