I'm begging headline writers at @bostonglobe.com to please read this piece by @jennyschuetz.bsky.social. The hysteria these headlines create does serious damage to our ability to have rational discourse around serious, nuanced and technical zoning reform efforts.

"End single family zoning" isn't great messaging, but the writer's message is basically "add more rental properties like adus and apartments" and I don't agree with that solution either.
"End real estate price fixing" is in my opinion the superior message.
It's an easy message that sounds good, is accurate, encompasses the entire problem holistically, and is hard to argue against morally.
