in addition to all the drug stigmatization, people on here still have not learned what many drugs’ effects are. for the ninety millionth time ketamine and cocaine are not the same thing

After watching someone who suffered with addiction, I can only say that alcohol is not the problem. Drugs are not the problem. The part of the brain in the person who can't stop using, is the problem.
Hopefully, research can find way to help the people.
Can you back this up with statically significant evidence? Or at least a good working theory that includes the sociopsychological mechanism behind your assertion? What is your expertise?
Of course they’re not. Ketamine sucks as a party drug…. Cocaine ….. well, cocaine is just awesome. I don’t think I’d mind too much if the people running the country were on coke.
He’s not running anything…. They won’t let him around anything important because he’s like Gilligan in one of the Professor’s elaborate coconut labs. Slapstick disaster…. Except when defrauding charities
Are you out of your mind. Coke makes already arrogant, egotistical people (for example, politicians) into raging assholes. They’re not like your fun partying friends.
I’m aware of what cocaine addiction does to people…I’ve seen it dozens of times with both . People on k are a drag. People on coke=funny.
Example:
E-Musk tells a joke on K & No one laughs.
Robin williams does coke during performance = more laughter
My friends who used to call me up at 3am begging me to drive them to buy an 8-ball (they needed me to drive because they’d sold their car to support their habit) provide some evidence that your statements about cocaine are extremely inaccurate.
Maybe they also need to know that the way this story is being framed is a distraction from the destruction stories. Drugs! actively harms those who engage with a wide variety of substances for a wide variety of reasons.

Booze, drugs, gambling, porn and others are horrible. The fact that they can't stop, is worse.
It's very sad.

Very sad😪
You don't give them that out, and they have no reason to quit.
That said, peer pressure is a hell of a thing.
Something I want to be clear about now, so people don't misunderstand.
I don't have anything against people that either are, or were addicts.
They have no control over the off button we have that don't suffer with addiction.
Waking up to basement doors open that lead to 25 steps straight down is enough for me to leave instead watching someone die.
They have to want to survive and want out. However, environmental factors are the largest contributors to success and keeping people from relapsing.
