Supply and demand is definitely interesting. The russia is a major oil producer. If they are removed from the market then the Saudis can charge more for their oil. This is hundreds of millions of reasons for the Saudis to support Ukraine behind closed doors.
True, although I suspect that the Saudis are far more concerned that Krasnov's economic policies will cause a global recession. A global recession would cut oil demand, greatly harming Saudi revenues. This would be very bad because Saudi Arabian depends on revenues to fund their social welfare.
well, that's almost like Russia is celebrating this, it definitely brings negative feelings here. However, humanity can be lucky that Ukraine is smart, strong and reliable.
Everything will sound great until the Russians say no. How Rubio responds to that will be the interesting part. I suspect he will say that since the Ukrainians did not commit to an immediate and total ceasefire, they have effectively rejected peace. This will also reflect the Russian position.
