I believe the left to at least have a vague awareness of their place on the dunning kruger curve, but a nitwit won't. Those seem to be universally impossible to tolerate. Also, disproportionately right..
Niven's Laws, #17: There is no cause so right that one cannot find a fool following it.
Or as I (semi-independently) formulated it: Fruitbat’s Organisational Constant: There is no cause so virtuous that none of its adherents are dickheads.
It's me. But no matter how salty you are, being attacked by unhinged people across multiple platforms in an unending barrage gets to you after a while. For me, that's especially true of far lefties. You know, I'll be your ally, but I categorically will NOT be your punching bag. It bothers me
I'm sorry that I made light. I'm just so used to you being so fierce, that I think of you as a bit larger than life.
I'm sorry you're bummed. :::Hugs::: respectfully offered.
I wobder; a lot of rightwingers said they'd come here under false flags. In my case it was clearly lefties who wish rightewingers get communicable diseases, which is crap behavior.
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. My hope is that it gets people a bit more used to the idea that there may be MORE THAN ONE social network, and that... and let me clutch your pearls for you in advance... you might not have to swear undying fealty to just one of them FOR ALL TIME.
I was just thinking, social media has never felt like an echo chamber to me. The left is chock full of arguments and challenges and conflicting perspectives; the ones in my feed just happen to be the ones I find worth entertaining

I except to do more.

I dunno, I ended up blocking them all then went and watched The Lost Boys on the BBC channel. God I love that movie, so very 80s.

☹️
They do seem to be showing up less frequently, though. Making progress!
As for people? I don’t know any more.
One side seems to take people as they are, here and now. Other has molds. Not sure politics fits into that.
When I'm having a house party I'll happily entertain thought provoking (or just drunken) differences in opinion about food, music, medieval art, etc.
From what I’ve seen, the right seems more like the Borg.
The left can be chaotic but it’s never boring at least🙂
