I'm too much of a jealous type to be poly and am happy as monogamist, but I've always felt that one would need genuine communication to make polyamory work.

I dunno, I’ve found the Multiamory RADAR format super helpful in that it’s proactive and not reactive. Imo it really helps to have a structured, intentional relationship check-in, especially when you’re new poly, are neurodivergent, and/or other situations that need more communication.

It’s 15+ years since I’ve been out of that world, so I don’t know shit, but, Agile at the time referred to a development cycle concept. Spiral development, Agile, and Scum sessions. The people running the project were like, PhD data scientists.
