If Putin rolled tanks into Estonia tomorrow, does anybody really think Trump would lift a finger? Of course he wouldn't. It's not just unwillingness to provide credible guarantees, the ability to do so is destroyed even if they wanted. A promise from the US isn't worth the paper it's printed on now.

That goes double for American promises, now.
Europe needs to make plans that don't rely on US, as long as we have that asshole and his vice-asshole in power.
We cannot trust the paper it's written on or the US to deliver.
