And no company is going to start building factories in the USA without a clear multi-year strategy from the administration. They're never going to get that. So when/if tariffs come back they won't do anything except raise prices b/c there won't be any new manufacturing to replace imports.

Every month he delays, is another month of businesses changing their supply lines to avoid the tariffs and raising prices in preparation.
Soon the new normal will be these high prices and eventual tariffs will raise prices even higher as the companies don't want them cutting into their profits.

Agreed. The real problem here is that Congress has ceded its Article I, Sec 8, authority and willingly handed it over to the Executive Branch. If Congress would, for once, take its Constitutional authority/duties seriously, all this Trumpian economic nonsense could be avoided.

100% agree with this. My work is with regulatory compliance and the last 6 weeks I’ve experienced daily whiplash. It feels like everything in my work now is unpredictable (and also hopeless/meaningless as the rule of law is eroding fast).

This. We are a GRC software provider and my clients are freaking out because they can’t plan. They’re all banks too and the dissolution of CFPB has thrown them into array because what regulations do they still have to adhere to? So many questions for no reason other than insanity.
