Another case of "you do realize that's worse, right?"

It is flatly illegal for DOD to be doing anything like this on its own rather than merely providing support to a domestic civilian agency like DHS. Their putative defense here is saying the military kidnapped people all on its own.

BREAKING: DOJ claims that the Trump administration did not violate a court order barring it from third-country removals without providing process when three people were sent to El Salvador b/c the Defense Department sent them to El Salvador on March 31, not DHS, and DOD isn't a defendant.
