Are they "fundamentally nice people" lost in a different world? I'm not convinced. I think it takes a certain extreme personality to be SO focused on amassing money above all else as your life goal. It's a chronic psychological condition.

I agree with you,just posted this yesterday, somebody saying why can't Musk donate all this money to humanity and I said he cant- those are the antithesis of each other, you can't be the megalomaniac billionaire and also be a humanitarian, you have to have a certain pathology to be this exploitive

I would err towards feeling sorry for him, if it wasn't for what he's done/is doing. As with criminals, better to try and reform them than simply punish, but not all are capable of reform.

..when we know human nature we see it's inevitability

But to expect billionaires to also be humanitarians is not realistic
