At least one tiny bit of good news: I just saw a big round milk chocolate colored bear walking down the street this morning and it was 100% Patch. He missed trash day by 24 hours.
I don't know where he rode out the fires, but I hope he returns to his regular haunts (my swimming pool) this summer.
