Liberal gallows humor holds that we won't have any more elections. But if Trump believes that Putin is a more legitimate president than Zelensky just because he had more recent "elections," I'd bet that we *will* have elections, just ones that look more and more Russian.

If we can’t take back Congress in ‘26, it’s over.
It was on par with Watergate—also an abuse of power to boost reelection chances—but mostly forgotten since Trump’s coup attempt was much worse.
Patriot.
As in soviet times the election becomes a ritual to be observed, a show of fealty for some, just more noise to most.
Which is what got us here.
