Hi! Some of us do. Especially as we comfort our fem-presenting trans child at 3:30am–through the outrageous word vomit that they have to endure while trying to have fun with friend while gaming. I really wish we could figure out a way for those that don't to have some material experience with it.
yes, of course. empathy is really important, but also it should make everyone angry, even if they don’t see it happening to their daughter or sister or a woman-they-know.
Deleting twitter was an easy decision in the end for me. I had had enough of being attacked by swarms of MRA and arrogant idiots, not least when debating my fields of expertise. I really really like it here - not because it is an echo chamber.
I’ve learned that perspective is a great teaching tool. Many young men these days do not have perspective and assume their plights are worse than others. When that’s echoed by others in the same position it feels validating.
It’s so strange sometimes listening to men talk about how much more difficult it is for them but meanwhile every fem presenting person I know online has had to deal with some form of harassment, even worse if it’s a queer woman
Same goes for life in general. I've had too many men in my life explain the world to me as if their experiences apply to or would be parallel to mine. Yet, we are not the same because we live in patriarchy. Bless the genuine ones for trying to connect but we live in different universes regardless.

You don’t know what it’s like to be white, middle class and male
Or something like that. My husband is always singing it to make me giggle
To be male, middle class and white!
