The lead in time from people picking up a book to reading it truly terrifies me 😂 Like, how are we supposed to know if this week's marketing plan worked? Was that latest sale due to my blog today or that stupid post I did about a parrot in 2019?

I have no clue why people buy my books! (Please continue, dear people.) But there might be free downloads of Storytellers still stuck in people’s TBRs five years later and that is a weird feeling, yes. At least when I saw someone rip through the whole book on KU that gave me a nice feeling :)

Some years ago, I started writing up every sexual encounter I'd ever had in "Diane's Book of Sex." After covering about 30 years I stopped. Looking back, I had some very ... ahem, interesting ... stories to tell. So, I can sort of relate. 😎

I have a publicist who sends out copies to reviewers and 'influencers'. I usually do a few giveaways of signed or sprayed edge specials at launch. Then there's NetGalley and a free 'Armchair Bride' for signing up to mailing list. Now I see it all written down, I realise I am a sluttishly free ride.
