He should get a Noble Prize for that. 2.4 million! Think of all the children those people had, and their children's children.

If you donate whole blood it's far less frequent but still really useful and a Good Thing. Please consider donating if you don't already.
And the really important bit: there are *quality biscuits* for donors!
He also donated plasma (plasmapheresis), which requires a thicker gauge needle and takes approximately 40-45 minutes of being connected to the 'vampire' machine.
Seriously though, good on the guy.
