I did some work on this when I was at York and I'd love to get funding to look into further and set up some sort of toolkit. It requires much more engagement with fan communities and an understanding of what might be some of the iconic film scenes (hard to tell in advance obviously). Hadn't thought - ThreadSky

about it in terms of nature fans but you're completely right. And requests on e.g. social media to avoid the area, etc. don't always get listened to.

Would love to learn about the work you’ve done already - did you publish on it? (not yet looked at fan tourism scholarship properly but intend to!). I’m interested in how it’s managed without further denying people’s access to land, so maybe encouraging people to act in community with wild lives

I did! The big report is here https://screen-network.org.uk/publication/screen-tourism-regional-development-fan-labour-and-sustainability/ and I've got a couple of articles soon to be published/in the works. It's a really interesting area of researchon general but I think the sustainability element is really important. Sadly I wasn't successful for Leverhulme with it.
