I switched from W&N (which I really loved) to Rosemary and Co for this exact reason. I'm not sure if Ro&Co will ship to France, but it might be worth checking. I've bought dozens of brushes from them and they've always been extremely well packaged.

I never order brushes from amazon, have you seen if theres a local art supply store near you? Since brushes are so expensive i always like in person stores so i can look at em myself, for me theres a great local place called Jerry's Arterama. Obv wont be at michaels or anything

From Amazon. Winsor & Newton serie 7. I'm not sure it's Amazon fault here seeing their is a plastic tube supposed to protect the brush + a big tube for the whole brush. That should be protection enough.

I use da Vinci brushes from. Amazon W&N was so consistently bad through Amazon it wasn't worth it anymore. Either the bristles are fucked or I'll get two size 1s and the bristles are completely different sizes

Buying brushes online is always a toss up. It's a shame too b/c it's not even hard to expensive to protect the brush head. W&N usually has a paper or plastic cap to protect the bristles too. So I'm wondering if someone is removing that cap at the warehouse.

The last time I ordered series 7s mine were also messed up, with the 0 being bigger than the 1.

Unlike my first set that I'm still using to this day, my second set didn't even last a month.

Yeah, even in Austin, I found myself going and buying all of whatever standard-sized brushes they had, as usually stores only have 2-3 in stock.
