This is a good point. We do need to make government work better, and more importantly, faster. It currently takes 8 months for NY Department of Education to review proposed school renovations. I'm sure that could be done better and faster without sacrificing oversight to ensure safety for kids.

I think this is a key point. It shouldn’t take forever to get construction permits and approvals. Like Kamala Harris said in a speech, it only took one year to build the Empire State Building. It can take longer in dallas doe the most basic building or home
