I’m half amused and half disgusted at this late attempt to grapple and to shame. First of all violence works. Look at the medical debt suddenly being forgiven. And if it works well enough there won’t be a “next one”. You’re slippery sloping. And why now? Because you thought CEOs were special.

Greedy CEO’s and their investors need to be brought down a friggin peg or two and if it takes the threat of violence to get their attention then so be it. They need to know their absurd for profit system of denying medical care needs to change. Anything else is just complicity in death outcomes.

No one, and I mean no one, should be shocked/surprised that a CEO was murdered, or for that matter, anyone in the US. Disprove/abhor? Yes, indeed, but hearing "violence is never justified" is tiresome in the face of the stupid easy access to weapons in the US. Guns are for violent means, full stop.

I'm not sure who "us" or "we" are. My point was that powerful folks end up being targets, and guns make said targeting so easy that we can't pretend to be surprised when it happens. Was it 100% inevitable? No, but virtually so. Folks use ghost guns for no other reason than to kill.

Those of us "boys" now in our 60s grew up with toy guns, playing cowboys and Indians, armies, etc. American culture has always glorified "the right kind of violence." I rarely watch TV or movies due to violence as it seems this damn country thrives on it now. It shouldn't shock us.

I’d also add that were I on Mangione’s jury I’d do my best to nullify. We ought to send that message out loud and clear. I rather like it when our presumed masters are afraid.
