It's official! Ketchup Entertainment has purchased the worldwide rights for COYOTE VS. ACME from Warner Bros., and will distribute the film in theaters.

I don’t know. I’m not sure if they would do something that blatantly illegal if the details were public. I think what’s more likely is they said they were gonna take a tax writeoff and then when they saw public interest in the film, they didn’t do that because they thought maybe they could sell?

It was on the open market a few years ago and the asking price ($75 million) was too high. It might have been a bluff but the suits were within their legal rights to do it and the bean counters could have made it work.
